Why photos end up sideways
Cameras record which way the device was held as a small orientation tag rather than actually rotating the pixels. Most software reads that tag and displays the photo correctly, but plenty of older programs, upload forms and printers ignore it — and then the picture appears on its side.
Rotating here bakes the correct orientation into the pixels themselves, so the image looks right everywhere, in every program, with no tag to misread.

Does rotating reduce quality?
Rotating by 90 or 180 degrees moves pixels without resampling them, so no detail is lost. Saving as JPG re-compresses the file, which is why Best quality exists — or save as PNG to avoid it entirely.
Can I rotate each photo differently?
Not in one pass — the same rotation applies to everything you drop in. Do them in separate batches if they need different angles.
Is there a file limit or a paywall?
