A genuinely private merge
PDFs are the format people use for contracts, bank statements, medical records and tax returns. Every mainstream online merge tool asks you to upload those documents to a server you know nothing about, and most quietly retain them for a period afterwards.
This tool reads the files directly in your browser and writes the merged document there too. Nothing is transmitted, which means there is no server copy to retain in the first place.
What is preserved
Pages are copied rather than re-rendered, so text stays selectable and searchable, embedded fonts stay intact, and image quality is untouched. Page dimensions are kept per page, so mixing A4 and Letter documents works without anything being stretched.
Password-protected files are the one exception — a PDF has to be unlocked before it can be merged.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs inside your browser using your device's own processor. Your files are never transmitted anywhere, which is why the tool works even if you disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
Is there a limit on how many PDFs I can merge?
No fixed limit. Everything runs on your own device, so the practical ceiling is your available memory — hundreds of pages is not a problem on a normal computer.
Will the merged PDF still have selectable text?
Yes. Pages are copied intact rather than converted to images, so text remains selectable and searchable.
Can I merge a password-protected PDF?
Not directly. Remove the password in your PDF reader first, then merge the unlocked copy.
